Job description

Program Analyst III – Chief Information Officer
Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a junior program analyst who will support Joint Program Executive Office for CBRN Defense (JPEO-CBRND) Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this role, you will support the OCIO in its capacity to provide innovative integrated IT solutions, services, and cybersecurity policy guidance to the JPEO workforce and portfolio acquisition by supporting IT-security related projects, developing new policies and processes, and aid in the preparation and management of official correspondence and documentation.
Work Location: Edgewood, Maryland
Clearance Requirement: Secret
Responsibilities: 
  • Assist team lead with the planning, development, initiation, and execution of projects
  • Perform planning and scheduling of meetings and activities for the CIO
  • Review and prepare briefings, documentation, reports, and other information to support training, workshops, and other informational exchanges provided by the JPEO CBRND Enterprise to aid in the implementation of internal or external policy changes and guidance.
  • Assist in the drafting and development of SOPs and business rules.
  • Coordinate and participate in various team meetings
  • Respond to inquiries and tasks associated with the task management and document staffing system or from outside organizations.
  • Respond and provide comments to documents submitted through the task management system.
  • Lead projects or tasks involving tracking of risk and providing constant status or process oversight to the government lead.
  • Write, review, and staff high-level staff action papers, studies, policies, and acquisition documents in support of the CIO Team
  • Assist government with influencing and shaping acquisition streamlining activities
  • Manage, synchronize, and track multiple, complex and cross-functional actions.
Minimum Requirements: 
  • Required: High School Diploma
  • Required: 2+ years’ experience in project management, DoD acquisition, or other related subjects of comparable complexity.
  • Required: 2+ years’ working knowledge with the DoD acquisition processes and policies as outlined in the DoDI 5000.02 relating to product development, production, and sustainment.
  • Desired: Familiarity with DOD tasking systems (e.g., ETMS2)
  • Desired: Familiarity with the JPEO-CBRND organizational structure and roles and responsibilities therein.
