    As a Project Manager you will plan, organize, direct and control the work of construction sites to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and at the highest level of quality.

    • Read the technical and administrative specifications of the project to be executed;<\/span><\/span><\/span>

    • Acquire the necessary technical and administrative information from the persons involved during the submission;<\/span>

    • Obtain blueprints and specifications for construction and compare them to bid plans;<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Report changes to professionals and claim costs;<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Mentor and develop junior staff members, providing guidance on project management best practices and career growth;<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Lead projects in uncharted territory, developing innovative solutions when traditional approaches may not be sufficient;<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Obtain licenses and permits as needed for the execution of the work;<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Draft contracts and agreements, negotiate terms and award them to subcontractors;<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>\n
    • Establish the schedule (dates, main stages of construction, constraints, methodology) and \/ or the critical path of the project and monitor it weekly;<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Inform the superintendent of the project and discuss with him and the director of the proposed methods;<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Place orders for critical materials, negotiate prices and prepare contract documents, in collaboration with the construction manager, for subcontractors;<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Coordinate and participate in various meetings;<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Establish and maintain a professional and continuous positive rapport with the client, etc.

      Requirements<\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or Civil Engineering Technology;
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Technical background with professional accreditation (P.Eng.\/ CET) or combination of technical training and\/or related experience;
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Related job experience of 5\- 10 years with increasing levels of responsibility;
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Previous work experience in Civil Engineering Construction, including dams, powerhouse and generation stations, bridges, infrastructure, and\/or heavy civil construction is required;
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Previous work experience on an OPG project or powerhouse experience would be considered an asset;
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Advanced skills in communication and problem solving;
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Initiative and leadership;
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, MS Project and Bluebeam;
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi\-task;
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Skilled in management, negotiation, communication, and problem\-solving;
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Attention to detail and problem\-solving skills;
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work;

      • Bilingualism - French\/English - is considered an asset.<\/span>

          \n In accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is <\/span>$110,000 - $160,000.<\/span><\/b> Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity.
