    Description

    West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. Our Division at Manning Forest Products is currently recruiting for a Journeyperson Electrician.

    Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be a key player in the company-wide continuous improvement effort by using troubleshooting, predictive, and preventive maintenance strategies daily.

    You'll Do:

    • Maintain a safe work environment
    • Ensure consistent operations of all electrical equipment in the sawmill
    • Verify and document repairs
    • Monitor product quality and provide feedback
    • Use of RsLogix programing software (5,500,5000)
    • Preventative maintenance and small construction projects
    • Troubleshooting for various pieces of equipment, with other trades
    • Shift is 7 days on/7 days off: rotating day shift and night shift

    You have:

    • Several years of experience as an Electrician
    • A valid Journeyperson Certification is required
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills
    • Demonstrated problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
    • An understanding of Process Controls and Instrumentation, including but not limited to electric over pneumatic, or hydraulic
    • 4th year Apprentices are encouraged to apply

    Considered a strong asset:

    • Previous experience working in a sawmill or an industrial environment
