Senior Manager, Shopper & Solutions Insights, Walmart
Are you ready to shape the future of how millions of pet parents shop for their beloved companions? As the Senior Manager, Shopper & Solutions Insights for Walmart at Mars Pet Nutrition, you will be the ultimate strategic guide driving joint business growth with one of our most critical retail partners. By blending deep shopper analytics, cutting-edge primary research, and high-impact retailer engagement, you will translate complex behavioral data into category-defining retail solutions.
This highly visible role sits at the dynamic intersection of Insights, Sales, and Category Leadership, offering significant exposure to both Mars executives and Walmart merchants. You will operate as both a high-level strategic thought partner and a hands-on researcher, leveraging your expertise in Walmart's Scintilla platform to influence decisions at senior levels. If you are passionate about pet care, data-driven storytelling, and driving retail transformation, this is the perfect platform to accelerate your career!
What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years in insights, analytics, strategy, account management, or consulting roles
  • Strong hands-on experience conducting shopper and behavioral analytics across multiple data sources (panel, loyalty, digital shelf, etc.)
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end analytical projects, from problem definition and insight generation to business recommendations
  • Experience and expertise with Walmart's Scintilla data platform
  • Demonstrated success translating insights into tangible business actions and outcomes with both internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in CPG and working closely with major retail customers
  • Nice-to-have: Experience integrating eCommerce and omnichannel shopper data into insights and strategy
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics tools and platforms (e.g., NIQ, Data Impact, Similarweb, Profitero)

What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Serve as the end-to-end owner of Walmart shopper insights, integrating behavioral data, consumer research, and business performance into actionable recommendations.
  • Lead shopper analytics using Walmart Scintilla and other data sources to uncover shopper behavior, drivers of performance, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Walmart learning plan in partnership with category, retail pods, and PGT teams.
  • Act as a customer-facing thought partner, presenting insights and activating solutions directly with Walmart merchants and category teams.
  • Provide an omnichannel perspective by connecting eCommerce and brick & mortar shopper behavior to inform a holistic strategy.
  • Design and lead shelving research (virtual, in-aisle, in-store) to inform assortment, layout, and merchandising decisions, translating findings into retailer-ready solutions.
  • Embed with Walmart account and category teams to ensure insights are aligned to retailer strategies and growth opportunities.
  • Translate insights into clear, actionable solutions and partner with I&GS to track implementation, impact, and accelerate action.
