Job description

Job Summary:
Vantor is forging the new frontier of spatial intelligence, helping decision makers and operators navigate whatโ€™s happening now and shape whatโ€™s coming next. They are seeking a full stack software engineer to support work across the full analytical workflow, focusing on innovative solutions for geospatial intelligence data.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design and implement efficient, flexible solutions that can scale for mission critical applications.
โ€ข Active in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing, deployment and maintenance.
โ€ข Apply software standards and processes to produce high quality, extensible, and maintainable software solutions.
โ€ข Work with cloud tech stacks to perform data extraction, manipulation, transformation; visualization of geospatial-temporal data sets
โ€ข Develop analytics/derivative data products to help users extract meaningful knowledge
โ€ข Proactive approach to trouble shooting and problem-solving issues
โ€ข Collaborate with diverse teams of engineers, clients, and users
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance (willingness to obtain a CI Polygraph)
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
โ€ข 2โ€“5 years of professional software development experience
โ€ข Experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Rust, or similar)
โ€ข Experience developing, testing, and maintaining software applications
โ€ข Familiarity with Linux development environments
โ€ข Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or AWS C2S
โ€ข Exposure to containers and containerization technologies such as Docker; familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus
โ€ข Experience working with data processing, analysis, or visualization
โ€ข Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices
โ€ข Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
โ€ข Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team
Preferred:
โ€ข Design, develop, and deploy AI-native software products that transform large-scale geospatial data into actionable intelligence and mission-critical insights.
โ€ข Experience working with NoSQL data stores such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or similar technologies
โ€ข Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
โ€ข Experience with a designing and implementing a wide variety of geospatial trajectory processing, analysis (e.g., forecasting), and visualization approaches
โ€ข Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying AI/ML or CV models across diverse data types
