    The Senior Project Superintendent provides advanced leadership and strategic oversight for large-scale and multi-site data center construction projects within the Data Center Services business unit. This role ensures project success through exceptional field leadership, resource management, and proactive collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. The Senior Superintendent serves as a mentor to other superintendents, sets performance standards, and ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.

    What You Will Do:Safety Leadership
    • Champion and enforce Network Connex’s safety culture, ensuring all personnel follow company and client safety programs to maintain a 'Stay Accident Free Every Day' environment.
    • Lead safety audits, inspections, and reviews to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
    • Participate in and oversee incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implementation of corrective actions.
    Quality & Operations Management
    • Oversee and coordinate field operations across multiple sites or large-scale data center projects.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Control Programs ensuring compliance with project specifications and company standards.
    • Drive adherence to construction schedules, budgets, and deliverables through strategic planning and proactive issue resolution.
    • Manage subcontractor performance, procurement coordination, and material logistics.
    • Review and approve short-term (5-week) and long-term schedules to ensure milestones are achieved.
    Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, coach, and mentor Project and Assistant Superintendents to foster operational excellence and accountability.
    • Assist with workforce planning, staffing, and training to meet business growth and project demand.
    • Facilitate performance evaluations, career development plans, and succession planning within field operations.
    • Promote a culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement among field teams.
    Client & Stakeholder Coordination
    • Serve as the primary field liaison with clients, representing Network Connex in high-level meetings, reviews, and project briefings.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and vendors to ensure clear communication and client satisfaction.
    • Address escalated project issues and provide executive-level updates on field progress and challenges.
    Reporting & Administration
    • Ensure all field reports, logs, and documentation are accurately completed and submitted on schedule.
    • Monitor cost reports, labor performance, and project forecasts to identify potential variances early.
    • Collaborate with project management to review RFIs, change orders, and schedule impacts.
    • Support commissioning, closeout, and handover activities ensuring a seamless client transition.
    Needs for Success
    • Proven ability to lead multiple large-scale construction projects simultaneously.
    • Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and communication skills with a focus on building cohesive, high-performing teams.
    • Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
    • Strong technical expertise in data center infrastructure, low voltage systems, and mission-critical environments.
    • Proficiency with construction management tools (e.g., Procore, Building Connected, MS Project).
    • Advanced skills in scheduling, cost management, and resource allocation.
    • Knowledge of all data center related systems an asset (Electrical. Mechanical, BMS and EPMS).
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate project needs and proactively address challenges.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and digital project management platforms.
    What You Bring to the Table
    • High School Diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale construction, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role.
    • Extensive experience managing mission-critical and hyperscale data center construction projects.
    • Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplinary teams across geographically diverse projects.
    • Preferred Certifications:
    • - OSHA 30-Hour Certification (required within six months of hire, if not already held).
    • - BICSI Technician (TECH).
    • - BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
    • Safety performance: maintain zero lost-time incidents and promote continuous safety improvement.
    • Schedule performance: achieve on-time completion of all project milestones and deliverables.
    • Quality standards: ensure project work meets or exceeds specifications with minimal rework.
    • Financial performance: maintain project budget adherence and accurate cost forecasting.
    • Client satisfaction: foster strong relationships and achieve repeat business through high-quality delivery.
    • Team development: mentor and grow field leadership bench strength through structured coaching and evaluation.
    • Operational efficiency: implement process improvements to optimize labor, material, and resource utilization.
    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position has direct supervisory responsibility for other superintendents, field engineers, and site supervisors, with accountability for field staffing, performance management, and development.

    Work Location and Travel

    This position is on-site daily at project locations. Regular overnight travel (approximately 75%) is expected; additional travel may be required based on project needs.

    Work Environment and Physical Demands

    The standard work environment is primarily indoors, though outdoor work may be required. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, stoop, kneel, reach, and communicate effectively. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. May be required to work at heights or in confined spaces.
