    Job Summary:
    This role is responsible for operating thermoforming machinery, packaging equipment, and other production equipment to consistently meet quantity, quality, and safety goals.
    Essential Functions:
    Operates thermoforming machinery and packaging equipment according to operation instructions and set work procedures during scheduled shifts to produce product to quality specifications and production goals. Performs machinery start-up, shutdown, roll change, and tool change processes according to procedures or operation instructions. Uses pre-identified trouble shooting approaches as well as own approach to make sure start-ups, shut-downs, roll changes, and tool changes are done efficiency and effectively. Asks for help in performing these activities as necessary. Ensures machinery and assigned production line(s) are running to optimize equipment performance. Performs equipment and machinery maintenance and reports as needed. Cooperates with other production employees and assists in other roles to ensure production goals are met. May assume "Lead" role when Lead Operator is not present. Works in a manner so as to avoid injury to any person or damage to any machinery or equipment used at production. Maintains a clean and well-organized work area. May do other activities as requested by Shift Leader or Production Supervisor.
    Essential Requirements:
    High school education or equivalent education level to meet math and verbal job requirements. Must have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others, to make good decisions and suggestions, and achieve production goals. Demonstrated math skills indicating ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers. Ability to read and interpret bar graphs. Ability to read a tape measure. Detail oriented with an ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write comments on production numbers and quality when called upon to do so. Ability to clearly communicate ideas and messages with co-workers.     4. Provides suggestions or comments as necessary to ensure efficient start-up, shut-down, and roll change activities. Provides routine machinery maintenance according to maintenance schedules and procedures.
    5. Assists in packaging, skidding, and shipping and receiving functions in Manufacturing.
    6. Fills in when required on other Manufacturing shifts as well as the Warehouse and Maintenance areas.
    7. Assists in tool changes as directed, storing tools in proper place.
    8. Maintains a clean and well-organized work area.
    9. May do other activities as requested by Shift Lead or Production Manager which support the company's overall efficiency and effectiveness goals.
