Salary Range: $84,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Fremont region seeking Advanced Quality Engineers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drives root cause analysis and corrective actions for complex quality issues.
  • Develops and implements advanced quality control plans for new product introductions.
  • Leads cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and reduce defects.
  • Utilizes statistical methods and data analysis to identify trends and predict potential failures.
  • Conducts audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Mentors junior quality engineers and promotes best practices within the organization.
  • Partners with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and inspectability of new designs.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and tools (e.g., FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA).
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Root Cause Analysis).
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or other relevant quality certifications preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Experience with AS9100 or IATF 16949 quality management systems
  • Strong data analysis skills, including Minitab or JMP proficiency
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP)
  • Experience with advanced product quality planning (APQP) and production part approval process (PPAP)
