Job description

STV is seeking an experienced Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager to join our PMCM group in Texas and support a large-scale, mission-critical project. This role will provide leadership and oversight of the project's quality program, ensuring work is planned, executed, inspected, and documented in accordance with project requirements, industry standards, and established quality procedures.
The QA/QC Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for quality-related matters and will partner closely with project leadership, construction teams, design professionals, contractors, clients, and other key stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring a proactive approach to quality management, strong technical judgment, and the leadership skills necessary to drive accountability and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the project-specific QA/QC program and quality management strategy.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters and provide guidance on quality standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Partner with project leadership, design disciplines, construction teams, contractors, and clients to establish and maintain project quality objectives.
  • Develop and maintain quality plans, inspection and testing procedures, audit protocols, checklists, and documentation requirements.
  • Oversee inspections, audits, surveillances, testing activities, and quality reviews to verify compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Identify quality risks and deficiencies, perform or oversee root-cause analysis, and manage nonconformance and corrective-action processes through resolution.
  • Monitor quality performance and establish metrics and reporting to communicate trends, risks, deficiencies, and corrective actions to project leadership.
  • Ensure that project quality records, inspection and testing documentation, and turnover packages remain complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
  • Lead and mentor quality personnel while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the project team.
  • Integrate quality requirements into project schedules, staffing plans, budgets, and overall execution strategies.
  • Provide technical leadership and sound judgment on complex quality issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, quality management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related quality, engineering, construction, or project management experience, preferably supporting large, complex construction programs.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and managing QA/QC programs and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Experience supporting mission-critical, data center, advanced technology, healthcare, industrial, or other technically complex projects is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction quality processes, including inspections, testing, nonconformance management, corrective actions, documentation, and applicable codes and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to identify quality risks, resolve complex issues, and drive corrective actions to completion.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor teams and influence quality performance across multiple disciplines and stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage field personnel, technical teams, clients, contractors, and senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant quality certifications or experience with standards such as ISO 9001, ASQ certifications, or similar industry-recognized credentials are preferred.

Compensation Range:
$132,708.77 - $151,667.16
STV offers the following benefits • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off • Paid Holidays • Back-Up Dependent Care • Parental Leave • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society Memberships
