Job description

JOB TITLE: Design and Analysis Engineer 3 - Electronic Systems
LOCATION: Everett, WA
PAY RATE: $75.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance: Active Secret clearance required (Interim acceptable to start)

  • Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Support engineering design, development, analysis, testing, and certification of mission avionics systems

  • Support system-level requirements development, validation, and verification

  • Assist in development of certification test plans and procedures

  • Coordinate system-level integration of mission avionics hardware and software

  • Support execution of critical tests to validate system performance

  • Provide technical management oversight for suppliers and internal software teams

  • Support proposal development and conduct trade studies for upgrades and new business

  • Coordinate FAA, military certification, and Boeing airworthiness activities

  • Work with specialty engineering IPTs (safety, EMI/EMC, cybersecurity)

  • Provide troubleshooting support for production labs and aircraft

  • Conduct technical investigations and perform Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA)

Requirements:

  • Active Secret clearance required (Interim acceptable to start)

  • Aerospace experience required 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry (Electrical Engineering preferred)

  • 3+ years of engineering experience

  • Experience with communication systems, FAA or military environments

  • Experience troubleshooting and performing hardware/software integrations

  • RF experience (radio systems, communications systems, military GPS, military chat, Link 16)

  • Networking experience

  • Must meet U.S. export compliance requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with software development processes

  • Experience with RF engineering principles

  • Experience with defensive systems

  • Experience with data networks and communication systems

  • Experience with navigation systems, flight management systems, or mission control systems

  • Experience with FAA and/or military certification requirements

  • Experience troubleshooting avionics equipment and aircraft systems

  • Experience serving as Equipment Manager (EM) for Avionics LRUs

  • Experience in hardware and software integration

  • Experience performing data analysis and RCCA

  • Experience managing technical subcontractors and suppliers

  • Experience developing and decomposing requirements

  • Experience evaluating aircraft maintenance requirements, certifications, or airworthiness directives
