JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Interior Installation Technician IV
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $33.81/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Performs installation of aerospace components and systems per engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Performs fabrication of aircraft interior components and subassemblies using hand and power tools.

  • Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering documentation, and work instructions for installation and fabrication tasks.

  • Uses hand tools, power tools, and equipment associated with installation and removal of aircraft interiors.

  • Coordinates with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications and procedures.

  • Applies standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment such as band saws, shears, sanders, and brakes.

  • Removes and re-installs fasteners including nut plates, inserts, and other hardware used in aircraft installations.

  • Uses material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off work.

  • Works with lead and higher skilled technicians to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma techniques.

  • Performs preparation and installation of aircraft interior items in accordance with quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • 4 years of applicable installation, fabrication, or related experience is required.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation is required.

  • Experience using hand and power tools associated with installation and fabrication is required.

  • Preferred: Experience in aerospace industry is preferred.

  • Ability to use material tracking systems for parts demand and work sign-off is required.

  • Ability to coordinate with supervision and inspection for quality compliance is required.

  • Willingness to work overtime as and when needed is required.
