Job description

JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer Level 3
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
PAY RATE: $ 72.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance: Secret Clearance required post start

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Creates and refines aircraft zonal build plans, mitigating risks and developing sequenced-based execution plans.

  • Leads committed change and design change build implementation, assessing build plan impacts and influencing producibility enablers.

  • Provides consultation and advisement, leading stakeholder engagement in build plan aspects.

  • Drives continuous improvements through innovation and data analytics.

  • Acts as integrator for the health of the production system, bridging design, build plan, and product.

  • Manages loadable software and corresponding configuration management tasks.

  • Accomplishes build integration processes and build plan milestones.

  • Leads collaboration and integration across affected commodities.

  • Attends technical review meetings for design changes and provides build impact and recommendations.

  • Compiles impact assessment inputs from commodity manufacturing engineers to support the process.

Requirements:

  • Secret Clearance required post start.

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 2+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.

  • 2+ years of experience supporting the development of engineering technical data packages needed to produce aircraft parts and components.

  • 2+ years of experience utilizing professional or technical writing skills and teaming to solve technical issues.

  • Preferred: 5 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Preferred: Electrical background (wire installation).

  • Preferred: Build integration experience.

  • Preferred: Experience with IVT, CATIA, GoldEsp, and Microsoft Office Suite.
