    Job description

    Sterling Engineering is partnered with a growing manufacturing organization seeking a Production Technician to join their team in Addison, IL. This is a hands-on opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment and take pride in producing high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing or warehouse experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a team.

    Job Title: Production Technician
    Location: Addison, IL 60101
    Hire Type: Direct Hire
    Compensation: $20.00-$22.00/hour
    Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
    Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, and additional company-sponsored benefits.
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Operate production machinery and equipment, including pneumatic presses, wire cutters, and spoolers.
    • Perform assembly and production tasks using hand tools and power tools.
    • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met and report any defects or concerns.
    • Support material movement throughout the facility and assist with inventory handling activities.
    • Operate forklifts as needed to transport materials and finished goods.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following company policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.

    Qualifications:
    • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, factory, or warehouse environment required.
    • Familiarity with assembly line processes and manufacturing operations.
    • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
    • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
    • Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus but not required.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
