As a manufacturing startup dedicated to transforming the pontoon boat industry, Flamingo prioritizes innovation, performance, and quality to deliver exceptional on-water experiences. We’re currently seeking an experienced Automation Technician to help us build and scale a high-performing manufacturing operation from the ground up.

Position Overview:

The Automation Technician is responsible for building, programming, and maintaining manufacturing equipment used in production. This role supports automated and semi-automated systems across the facility, including CNC routers, press brakes, laser cutting equipment, and custom-built fixtures. The Automation Technician works closely with Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering to ensure equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Build, install, and maintain manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and automated systems.

Program, operate, and maintain CNC routers, press brakes, and laser sheet cutting equipment.

Support troubleshooting and repair of automation equipment to minimize production downtime..

Support commissioning of new equipment including setup, calibration, and process validation.

Work with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

Maintain documentation for equipment setup, wiring, and programming changes.

Support preventive maintenance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.

Proficient with computer based CAD/CAM systems.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Good manual dexterity and physical stamina.

Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and take direction.
