Job description

Overview

Six Flags Darien Lake is looking for an artistic and creative individual who prides themselves on producing visually stunning work for scenic or promotional needs. This role is also responsible for the creation, repair, and installation of park signage. Must have a strong eye for detail and safety in mind. 

How You'll Make A Difference

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Producing high-quality, detailed work in various mediums (lettering, illustration, sculpting, paint, woodworking etc.)
  • Constructing signs out of various materials -including but not limited to vinyl application, using power tools to cut out detailed parts, prep sanding, painting/lettering, and final assembly
  • Perform work independently while carrying out assignments to completion
  • Must be well organized and capable of maintaining a clean and safe work environment while keeping paint are kept in a good working order
  • Assist other maintenance departments with park tasks
  • Repair and replace upholstery work on various ride attractions
  • All other duties assigned
We're Looking For:

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Previous sign or artwork experience preferred
  • Creative and has a strong eye for details
  • Working knowledge of hand power tools - trim router, saber saw, etc
  • Corel, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Position requires full availability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
