Job description

Job Summary:
Sierra Nevada Corporation's Military Fellowship Program provides fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to civilian work. As a Systems Security Engineer, you will design and implement secure systems and manage IT security applications while conducting assessments and developing security controls.
Responsibilities:
• design, test, and implement secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, and tuning
• management of IT security systems and applications
• incident response
• digital forensics
• loss prevention
• eDiscovery actions
• conducting risk and vulnerability assessments
• developing and implementing security controls
• research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies in alignment with IT security strategy
• introduce new security tools, techniques, and technologies to the enterprise
Qualifications:
Required:
• Currently serving as active duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline and typically 2+ years of relevant experience
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Preferred:
• ISSM CAP, CISSP, or CISM Certification
• ISSE CAP, CISSP-ISSEP Certification
• ISSO Security+, CISA, or CASP+ Certification
• MCSE, Linux, and/or CCNP Security Certification
