    Material Handler

    Working Pattern: Onsite 2nd shift (3:00pm to 1:30am M-TH) Working Location: Indianapolis, IN

    Position Summary: As the Material Handler for Rolls-Royce, you will join our team based in Indianapolis, Indiana supporting business and civil large aviation customers in our repair station shop in Indianapolis and hangar located in Greenfield, Indiana. In this role, you will work with the logistics team supporting the tool department for On-Wing Services North America. In this role you will travel up to 5% domestically / internationally.

    What you will be doing:

    • Shipping and receiving aircraft engine parts and tooling management ensuring the proper documents and export controls are adhered to
    • Inspect aircraft parts for damage and ensure the FAA 8130-3 and EASA Form 1 are accurate
    • Operate forklift(s) loading and unloading tooling and aircraft engines
    • Assist mechanics with aircraft tooling and tool accountability
    • Available for service support on a 24-hour basis, including weekends and holidays

    Basic Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) with 3+ years of manufacturing warehouse, and/or manufacturing logistics experience with aviation materials and tooling knowledge, OR Associate's degree with 2+ years of manufacturing warehouse, and/or manufacturing logistics experience with aviation materials and tooling knowledge
    • This position is a FAA designated safety-sensitive position. Selected candidate must successfully complete a FAA/DOT pre-employment background check, a FAA/DOT drug screen that tests for the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine and Amphetamines (or metabolites of those drugs), and comply with FAA-mandated rules on drug and alcohol use.

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Forklift experience
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products

    Mental & Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to pass an eye exam
    • Lift engine components or tooling up to 70 pounds with assistance
