    Director, Finance M&A and Integration

    Location: San Diego, CA (Preferred)

    Reports to: VP, Corporate Accounting

    Let's talk about the role

At Resmed, we are driven by a simple goal: helping people live healthier, higher-quality lives through innovative healthcare technology.

As Director, Finance M&A and Integration, you will play a central role in shaping Resmed's growth strategy by partnering with senior leaders on acquisitions, divestitures, strategic investments, and business integrations.

This is a highly visible leadership role that sits at the intersection of Finance and Strategy. You will serve as the primary Finance partner on transactions, providing financial leadership from initial evaluation and due diligence through integration and value realization. You will work closely with executives, Strategy, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Accounting, and operational leaders to help ensure every transaction delivers its intended business outcomes.

If you enjoy navigating complex business decisions, building cross-functional partnerships, and helping companies grow through strategic transactions, we'd love to hear from you.

    What you'll do

    Lead strategic transactions

    • Partner with Strategy teams to evaluate, structure, and execute acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments.
    • Represent Finance in transaction governance and executive steering committee discussions.
    • Align financial, accounting, and business considerations throughout the transaction lifecycle.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on transaction-related risks and opportunities.

    Provide financial and accounting leadership

    • Lead technical accounting assessments for acquisitions, divestitures, and complex investment structures.
    • Evaluate accounting implications under U.S. GAAP and provide guidance on transaction structures.
    • Support financial modeling activities and challenge assumptions to strengthen investment decisions.
    • Coordinate external due diligence partners and internal Finance subject matter experts.

Drive due diligence and transaction readiness

    • Assess financial, operational, accounting, and integration risks.
    • Partner with Finance leaders to evaluate systems, process, resource, and organizational impacts.
    • Support transaction execution activities, including working capital mechanisms, closing adjustments, and governance requirements.
    • Help shape transition service agreements (TSAs), stranded cost evaluations, and value creation opportunities.

Lead Finance integration and value realization

    • Serve as the Finance functional lead throughout the integration lifecycle.
    • Lead Finance Day 1 readiness activities and post-close integration execution.
    • Coordinate integration workstreams across Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Reporting, Controls, Compliance, and Finance Operations.
    • Monitor integration milestones, budgets, synergies, and value capture objectives.
    • Provide regular updates to executive stakeholders and governance forums.

    Build scalable processes and governance

    • Drive improvements to transaction governance, integration methodologies, and Finance playbooks.
    • Establish repeatable approaches for evaluating, integrating, and tracking strategic transactions.
    • Capture lessons learned and continuously improve Finance's role in supporting growth initiatives.

    What you'll bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • 10+ years of progressive Finance experience.
    • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and transaction accounting.
    • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or other strategic transactions.
    • Financial modeling and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.
    • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to influence across functions and build alignment in fast-paced environments.
    • Commercial mindset with an understanding of how transactions impact long-term business performance.

    What sets you apart

    • CPA or equivalent professional certification.
    • Big 4 Audit, Transaction Advisory, or Accounting Advisory experience.
    • Experience in a public company or large multinational environment.
    • Experience leading post-merger integration activities.
    • Experience working within PMO or Integration Management Office structures.
    • Experience leading transformation, process harmonization, legal entity rationalization, or operating model integration initiatives.
    • Strong project management and change leadership capabilities.
