Raytheon is seeking an experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) with a strong background in Supply Chain and Program Management to fill this critical MPM role supporting National, Strategic, & Civil Solutions (NSCS) programs within the Mission Solutions & Payloads (MSP) suite of programs.  This individual must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced development environment, which will require excellent time management/prioritization skills.  Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work well in a matrixed IPT environment are also important.  The MPM should be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal and supplier management.

The Material Program Manager will report directly to the NSCS Supply Chain Management Lead and is responsible for supporting the development and execution of supply chain strategies, provide material and supplier management, and support capture/proposal throughout all phases of the product life cycle in the Space Program Portfolio.  You will be accountable to ensure suppliers are supporting Program needs, risks are mitigated, and efficiencies identified and implemented. You will be the catalyst for program execution of the Supply Chain Strategy and activities including ensuring an appropriate budget, adequate resources, managing schedule, and compliance to requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a Space Program IPT and provide frequent communication to the Supply Chain Management Lead and Program Management Office on material strategies, plans and supplier risk mitigation activities
  • Support the development, coordination and execution of all program IPT material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives 
  • Manage early supplier involvement and management
  • Support the development and execution of material program plans (MPP)
  • Establish Material Sales Forecasts for assigned programs
  • Support the development and execution of risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives
  • Partner cross functionally with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues
  • Exert influence to achieve overall objectives and long-range goals of the program and the program IPT team                 
  • Frequently lead discussions and presentations to all levels of management, senior leadership, and customers.
  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
  • Domestic travel

Qualification You Must Have

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum eight (8) years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum five (5) years experience.
  • Minimum eight (5) years experience in supplier management, project management, and/or program management.
  • Experience using manufacturing or enterprise planning tools, including MRP (Kinaxis/ SAP/PRISM).

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with government regulations (i.e., FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)
  • Experience analyzing performance metrics (data analysis)
  • Experience with Proposal and New Business Capture

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
