The Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) Production organization is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to support the Integration and Test Team (ITT) IPT.  The ITT Deputy PM is responsible for providing leadership and day to day oversight of the ITT IPT.  These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing technical performance, cost, schedule, and customer (internal and external) satisfaction.  The Deputy PM will report directly to and work closely with the ITT PM to ensure flawless program execution.  The Deputy PM will use program management best practices to identify potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action to be taken and ensures the meeting of program and company commitments.  The Deputy PM is a critical customer point of contact and will be responsible for fostering and maintaining relations with a dynamic and demanding customer community.  The Deputy PM will provide leadership to a group of cross-functional team members located in both Dallas, TX and primarily in Forest, MS.  There will be a domestic travel expectation of roughly 25%. Additional responsibilities include managing change proposal negotiations, baseline activities, coordination of fleet deliveries, and integration and test support.

Will You Will Do:

  • Accountability for execution of the ITT IPT, to include meeting financial commitments, leveraging program management best practices, and assisting in the preparation and presentation of EAC reviews.
  • Timely identification and resolution of issues to ensure continued execution of the full-rate production program.
  • Providing leadership and mentorship to multi-functional teams and key partners to ensure successful execution.
  • Responsible for articulating to senior leadership the ongoing status on cost and schedule performance, R&Os and strategies for program execution.
  • Maintain collaborative and responsive relationships within the IPT and with functional support organizations.
  • Establish and grow working relationships with customers, industry partners, etc.
  • Interface with senior personnel across multiple DoD services and defense industry partners.
  • Oversight of the delivery and end-use of production systems to the customer and the RTX AAS Sustainment program
  • Domestic travel required (approximately 25%)

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years’ experience
  • Prior experience with leading and collaborating across multiple functional areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Contracts, and Engineering.
  • Prior experience in program management
  • Prior experience in the development and application of integrated master plan and schedule, Risk and Opportunity management, Earned Value management, closed loop corrective actions, configuration control, and financial reporting.
  • Program Management Certification (at least level 5) or ability to obtain within 12 months of assignment, in accordance with RP-248
  • Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Prior experience working in a matrixed environment, customer engagement, proposals and growing the business.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time critical requirements.
  • Ability to manage a predominantly off-site team.
  • Strong business sense to proactively identify and resolve problems, quickly and efficiently.
  • Proven demonstration of leadership competencies, especially influential communications, strategic thinking, cultivating innovation, collaboration, developing talent, customer focus, and driving results.
  • Technical knowledge of Radar Systems and/or similar technologies.
  • Experience with build/assembly, integration, and test of complex systems.
  • Earned Value certification, including formal DoD reporting.
  • Understanding of the military operations community and logistics support structures.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
