Michael Foods, Inc. located in the Village of West Jefferson, OH, is located just minutes from the western suburbs of Columbus and about 20 minutes to the west of downtown. We are proud to be Michael Foods' most recent greenfield project, producing high quality protein shakes serving people all around the world. Responsibilities

We are looking for professional forklift operators that have extensive experience operation ins a safe manner and has experience operation stand-up Raymond coounter balance forklifts.

Our West Jefferson location is 2 Walker Way. the schedule example is below.

Days Example

WEEK 1 - 40 hours regular / 8 hours over- time

Monday Work 6:00am - 6:30pm

Tuesday Work 6:00am - 6:30pm

  • Assumes personal responsibility to insure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adheres to all safety policies/procedures and incorporates safety and health in all job's duties/tasks.

  • Adheres to safe work practices, follows GMP's, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediately.

  • Attends and actively participates in safety meetings/trainings.

  • Ensures regulatory compliance at all times.

  • Responsible for assisting in stocking all necessary materials required for production and processing.

  • Must transport raw products and materials to and from production areas.

  • Responsible for recording and reporting any equipment problems and damage to any product.

  • Responsible for keeping the plant safe by remaining cautions and driving at slow speeds.

  • Must clean and sanitize warehouse area, forklift and batteries.

  • Must assist anyone in the department if they need a forklift, including contractors, vendors, etc.

  • Responsible for keeping the plant safe by remaining cautious and driving at slow speeds.

  • Read and understand order sheets.

  • Learn how to use the inventory computer system (SAP system).

  • Keep inventory up to date by inputting data such as material type, name of the supplier, and weight into SAP computer system.

  • Transport materials from trailer to holding room and organize based on date and type product as well as load finished product onto trailers.

  • Be able to operate pallet jack and perform duties of Pallet Jack Driver. (Authorized training required)

  • Print all receipts and report to supervisor upon completion.

  • Record and report any equipment problems and/or damage to any product or company property.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

Basic power industrial truck operations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

Power Industrial Truck Operator's License.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must be able to read basic English
