Job Description: Metrology Technician | Spring Lake, MI Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for precision measurement and ensuring quality standards? If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Spring Lake seeking experienced Metrology Technicians. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on metrology equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair measurement equipment and instruments.
  • Develop and optimize measurement processes and procedures.
  • Analyze measurement data and generate reports to ensure quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of calibration activities and equipment performance.
  • Provide training and technical support to colleagues on metrology best practices.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing metrology role.
  • Proficient in using a wide range of precision measurement tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers).
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with calibration processes and maintaining measurement equipment.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and their application.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with precision machining or assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques.
  • Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
