Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Oversee the cycle counting program and ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels.
  • Manage the reconciliation of physical inventory with system records, investigating discrepancies.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics to optimize material flow.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for inventory control.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory tracking and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles, including FIFO, LIFO, and cycle counting.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and implement strategies to reduce carrying costs and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar is a plus.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with ERP system implementation and optimization.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
  • Familiarity with hazardous material handling and storage regulations.
  • Project management experience, particularly with process improvement initiatives.
