Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Digital Product Sr Manager Operational Twin to define, build, and scale PepsiCo's Operational Digital Twin product as a global capability enabling real-time operational visibility, predictive insights, and intelligent decision support across manufacturing plants, warehouses, distribution centers, and future supply chain operations.

This role will own the product vision, roadmap, and feature backlog for Operational Digital Twins, enabling digital representations of live operations by integrating telemetry, Industrial IoT, manufacturing systems, warehouse management systems, enterprise applications, and AI-driven analytics into a unified operational intelligence platform. The Operational Digital Twin provides actionable insights that improve productivity, asset utilization, operational efficiency, reliability, and business performance through real-time monitoring and predictive analytics.

The Product Owner will work closely with manufacturing, warehouse operations, supply chain, engineering, data and AI teams, solution architects, and software development teams to deliver scalable operational capabilities that empower business users with accurate, real-time intelligence and data-driven decision support.

Responsibilities

Operational Digital Twin Product Strategy

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for PepsiCo's Operational Digital Twin product enabling real-time operational intelligence across manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution centers.
  • Define standardized operational capabilities that transform real-time data into actionable business insights and decision support.
  • Develop scalable product capabilities supporting predictive operations, performance optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Balance global product standardization with regional operational requirements.
  • Establish measurable product outcomes aligned with productivity, quality, OEE, service levels, sustainability, and operational excellence objectives.

Operational Intelligence Products & Capabilities

  • Own the roadmap for operational dashboards, KPI visualization, predictive analytics, event monitoring, operational alerts, and AI-driven recommendations.
  • Define reusable operational models integrating telemetry, IoT, MES, WMS, historians, SCADA systems, enterprise data platforms, and AI models.
  • Develop capabilities supporting predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, bottleneck identification, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Enable digital representations of live operations that continuously synchronize with physical assets and operational workflows.
  • Standardize operational analytics across manufacturing and warehousing environments.

Product Ownership & Agile Delivery

  • Own the product backlog, release planning, and feature prioritization for Operational Digital Twin capabilities.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner closely with software engineering, data engineering, AI, UX, and platform teams throughout Agile development.
  • Ensure releases maintain high quality, scalability, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture compliance.
  • Drive continuous product enhancements through customer feedback and operational performance metrics.

Platform Integration & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Platform, Spatial Twin, Engineering Twin, and Vision Product Owners to deliver integrated Digital Twin experiences.
  • Define common operational data standards, APIs, semantic models, and interoperability across enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Warehouse Operations, Reliability Engineering, Supply Chain Excellence, and Data & AI teams.
  • Ensure operational products leverage reusable platform services while minimizing customization.

User Experience & Business Value

  • Define user personas including plant managers, warehouse managers, operations leaders, reliability engineers, and supply chain teams.
  • Measure product success through adoption, operational improvements, reduced downtime, productivity gains, and business value realization.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, product demonstrations, and roadmap planning sessions.
  • Continuously evolve the product based on operational feedback, emerging technologies, and changing business priorities.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $140,100 - $210,000.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree preferred in Engineering, Data Analytics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Manufacturing Systems, Operational Technology, Industrial IoT, Supply Chain Technology, or Digital Transformation.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise digital products supporting manufacturing or warehouse operations.
  • Experience working with operational technologies including MES, WMS, SCADA, IoT platforms, historians, and enterprise analytics solutions.
  • Experience managing Agile software products across multiple engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading global technology initiatives in highly matrixed organizations.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of Operational Digital Twins, Industrial IoT, telemetry platforms, and operational analytics.
  • Experience integrating enterprise operational systems including MES, WMS, ERP, historians, SCADA, PLCs, and cloud data platforms.
  • Familiarity with predictive analytics, AI-enabled operations, event-driven architectures, and operational intelligence platforms.
  • Understanding of cloud-native architectures, APIs, enterprise integration, and scalable digital platforms.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, warehouse operations, reliability engineering, and operational excellence methodologies.

Leadership

  • Strong product leadership with the ability to translate operational challenges into scalable digital products.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across business, engineering, AI, and operations.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using operational KPIs to drive product decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable business outcomes through digital transformation.
