Job description

PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program ofPearson LIFT(Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canada's largest airport for the future of air travel-including critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience.


JOB SUMMARY

The Finance Co-op will support the commercial and finance teams with day-to-day financial operations for the multi-billion-dollar PACT program. This role provides hands-on experience with cost tracking, accounts payable, reporting, and financial administration in a large-scale joint venture environment.


This is a 12-16 month co-op student opportunity starting in September 2026.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the finance team in processing invoices, accounts payable, and expense reports.
  • Support the compilation and review of financial data for monthly cost reports and project forecasting.
  • Help maintain accurate digital financial records and documentation for auditing purposes.
  • Assist with data entry and administrative tasks related to payroll and cost control tracking.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to help reconcile subcontractor and vendor accounts.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The position will be based at our office in Mississauga, Ontario, with visits to the Airport site as required. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday during regular office or site hours.

DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES

  • Currently enrolled in an Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related post-secondary program.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and an aptitude for learning new financial software or ERP systems.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and an eagerness to learn in a fast-paced project team.
