    Position Specific Description

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst with a strong background in the insurance industry to support strategic system implementation initiatives and ongoing business improvement projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering and defining business requirements, creating process flows, writing UAT user stories, and delivering detailed business process documentation. This role requires both a structured thinker and a hands-on executor who can work across departments to drive clarity, alignment, and actionable outcomes by bridging the gap between business and technology functions.

    System Implementations:

    • Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements for system changes or new implementations.
    • Translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for UAT and development teams.
    • Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts, including test case creation, execution coordination, and issue resolution.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize requirements and align deliverables with business objectives.
    • Assist with data conversion tasks, including mapping legacy data to the new system, identifying data gaps or inconsistencies, and supporting validation activities.
       

    Process Design & Documentation:

    • Work closely with business leaders to understand current operations and define optimal future-state processes.
    • Create procedure documentation, process flow diagrams, and swim lane diagrams to clearly illustrate business functions and handoffs.
    • Identify inefficiencies and provide recommendations for process improvements or automation.
    • Create and manage business process documentation for training and onboarding purposes.
       

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Interview stakeholders to create project scope documents.
    • Work with compliance team to ensure IT SOX certifications and adherence to applicable standards.
    • Help support RFP process for vendor and/or platform selections.
    • Support the teams in all ongoing lights-on and application maintenance efforts.
       

    Required Experience:

    • Prior P&C insurance industry experience is required.
    • Commercial and/or Specialty insurance experience is preferred.
    • Program insurance and delegated authority model exposure is nice to have.

    • Creates and updates documentation, as appropriate, for selected project framework
    • Maintains a familiarity with market trends in technology
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
