    Job description

At Aire Serv of Owings Mills, we are a locally owned and operated franchise backed by Neighborly®, the world’s largest family of home service brands. We take pride in delivering top-tier heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and indoor air quality services to our residential and commercial neighbors.

Our core motto is "We Treat Your Home Like Our Own." We operate on flat-rate upfront pricing (paying by the job, not by the hour), stand behind the Neighborly Done Right Promise®, and build long-term relationships with our clients through exceptional craftsmanship and dedicated customer care.

    Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced, customer-focused HVAC Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, maintain, and install residential and light commercial HVAC systems.

If you take pride in your work, value honest upfront service, and want to work with a supportive local team that respects your time and expertise, we want to hear from you.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshooting, testing, and repairing air conditioners, furnaces (gas, electric, oil), heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, boilers, and indoor air quality equipment.
    • System Maintenance: Perform routine tune-ups and inspections, including servicing customer units under our Advantage Plan® membership.
    • Installations & Replacements: Assist with or lead the installation of new residential and commercial HVAC units, ductwork, thermostats, and IAQ filtration systems.
    • Customer Communication: Clearly explain technical issues to homeowners, offer upfront pricing options using transparent pricing guides, and recommend appropriate solutions without high-pressure sales tactics.
    • Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets local building codes, safety regulations, and Aire Serv’s quality standards under the Neighborly Done Right Promise®.
    • Site Care: Protect customer property by using shoe covers, drop cloths, and maintaining a clean work environment ("We Treat Your Home Like Our Own").
    • Documentation & Care: Accurately complete digital service tickets and maintain a clean, organized, and stocked company service vehicle.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Experience: Professional, hands-on experience in residential and light-commercial HVAC service and repair.
    • Certifications:
      • EPA Universal Certification (required).
      • Maryland Journeyman HVACR License (preferred, not required).
      • NATE Certification is a plus.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams, troubleshooting electrical/refrigerant systems, and using diagnostic tools.
    • Customer Service: Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a professional appearance and attitude.
    • Clean Driving Record: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history (must pass a background check and drug screening).
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work in tight spaces (attics, crawlspaces), and work in varying outdoor temperatures.

    What We Offer

    • Competitive Pay: Weekly base pay plus incentive/performance bonuses.
    • Company Vehicle & Tech: Fully stocked company service van, gas card, uniform, and iPad/tablet for paperless ticketing.
    • Comprehensive Benefits: Paid Time Off (PTO), paid holidays, and health/dental/vision insurance options.
    • Growth & Training: Ongoing technical training, manufacturer certifications, and professional development through Aire Serv and Neighborly networks.
    • Work-Life Balance: Structured dispatching and reasonable call rotations.
    • Supportive Culture: A positive work environment where team members are valued, respected, and supported.
