    Overview

    Are you a seasoned heavy equipment operator looking to leverage your hands-on experience in a new way? Milton CAT is seeking a knowledgeable professional to join our Machine Technology Team. In this role, you'll use your deep understanding of equipment operation to educate and support our customers, helping them maximize the performance and capabilities of their Caterpillar machines and integrated technology.

    You'll receive comprehensive training on Caterpillar's industry-leading products and enjoy a flexible schedule, along with a company vehicle and other tools to support your success. Responsibilities include testing and tuning new machines, demonstrating advanced machine technology to customers, and providing ongoing technical support and training.

    Pay Range: $70,000-$80,000 depending on experience. This is a salaried position. Company vehicle, computer and cell phone.

    Responsibilities
    • Testing and tuning new machine performance.
    • Teaching customers / operators how to use a machine's technology.
    • Providing follow-up training upon customer request
    • Presenting information to various size groups
    • Occasional overnight travel
    • Related duties as assigned
    Qualifications
    • Minimum of three years' experience in site work, earth moving or heavy construction
    • Experience as a heavy equipment operator is a plus
    • Basic understanding of construction layout and grading
    • Proficient in the use of a computer and related software
    • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Good organizational skills
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
    • Ability to utilize company vehicle for travel
    • Ability to travel to other Milton CAT locations as needed
