Job Description:
We are seeking a self-directed Product/Test Technician to test, tune/adjust, and troubleshoot prototype and production SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) components and modules. This role requires hands-on capability making RF measurements, diagnosing product/hardware issues, and independently troubleshooting test equipment and test setup problems to meet shipping goals, on-time delivery, quality requirements, and continuous improvement objectives.
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform RF measurements (e.g., S-parameters, insertion loss, return loss, frequency response) and ensure data validity through proper calibration/verification (fixtures, cables, adapters, standards).
  • Tune/adjust products to meet performance specifications and document settings/results.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/product failures at the component/module level; isolate root cause and recommend/implement corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot test equipment and test setup issues (instrument configuration, software control, cabling/fixturing, grounding/shielding, calibration, connectivity) and drive problems to resolution with minimal supervision.
  • Basic soldering of surface mount components
  • Strong commitment to teamwork, quality, continuous improvement and process discipline.

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electronic or product testing
  • Ability to work under a microscope
  • Fine motor skills / hand eye coordination
  • Basic PC skills, math skills, and product knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must possess or be able to obtain (at company's expense) a Secret level clearance
Preferred:
  • Associates degree in technical field
  • Experience performing RF test and measurement using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
  • Previous experience serving as a lead technician
