    Business Development Associate Internship: Summer 2027
    Job Overview:
    Our Business Development & Sales teams are seeking Summer 2027 interns. These positions would like the ideal candidates to be local to the San Diego, Austin, or Carolina's office, functioning off a hybrid schedule at the intern and managers discretion. (2-3 days in the office)
    Business Development at LPL Financial is the initial point of contact between LPL & the Financial Advisors. BD interns help build the bridge with advisors seeking greater control over their professional and personal life & our recruitment team. The intern is responsible for driving lead flow into our recruitment teams in order to increase sales. If you are passionate about sales, prospecting & seeing every day how your work can impact on the great goal then this internship role would be a great way to develop your career!
    Responsibilities:
    • Obtain exposure to systems, databases, and other applications used by the company on a daily basis.
    • Participate in process walkthroughs in accordance with department and professional standards.
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to interact not only with the team's management but also with other business units' management.
    • Practice project management through handling various assignments and projects.
    • Expand knowledge through training and other online courses.
    • Get to know us as an employer and experience our working culture up close through our summer programming events.
    What are we looking for?

    Requirements:
    • Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate degree program with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
    • Interest in the Sales/ Business Development industry
    • Offer is contingent upon successful background screening and agreement to be local to the Fort Mill/Charlotte, Austin, or San Diego offices - Selected candidates will operate out of the office working on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office)

    Core Competencies:
    • Organization and strong communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Salesforce (CRM)
    • Goal-oriented mindset with an eagerness to learn.
    Summer 2027 Internship Schedule:
    • Full - time position for 10 weeks in the summer of 2027; Monday through Friday, working 40 hours a week during business operating hours.
    • Internship dates: 6/1/2027 - 8/6/2027
