In this role, you'll be responsible for deep cleaning production equipment and processing systems to ensure every piece of equipment meets strict food safety and quality standards before production begins.

This is more than general janitorial work. You'll work directly with production equipment, CIP (Clean-in-Place) and COP (Clean-out-of-Place) systems, chemical sanitation processes, and food safety programs in a modern manufacturing facility. Candidates with manufacturing sanitation experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment will thrive in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform deep cleaning and sanitation of food manufacturing equipment and production areas.
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble production equipment.
  • Operate and monitor CIP (Clean-in-Place) and COP (Clean-out-of-Place) cleaning systems.
  • Verify proper chemical concentrations and sanitation effectiveness.
  • Complete sanitation logs, CIP documentation, and required records accurately.
  • Follow the facility's Master Cleaning Schedule and GMP requirements.
  • Troubleshoot basic sanitation equipment issues.
  • Train new team members on sanitation procedures and food safety practices.
  • Operate material handling equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, organized work area while following all food safety and OSHA guidelines.
  • Cross-train in additional plant operations and preventive maintenance activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing, industrial, or food production experience.
  • Previous industrial sanitation or food manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with CIP/COP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read and complete production documentation accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to help train new employees.
  • Understanding of GMP, food safety, and workplace safety practices.
  • Comfortable working around production equipment, cleaning chemicals, and wet environments.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work throughout an active manufacturing shift.

Preferred Experience

  • Food manufacturing or beverage production
  • Industrial sanitation
  • Dairy, bakery, frozen foods, meat processing, or similar food processing environments
  • Forklift or material handling equipment experience
  • SCADA or automated manufacturing systems experience

Benefits

  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
