    Job description

    A Kforce client, a premier, well respected New York City based CPA firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager - Estate and Trusts. Summary: You will work with outstanding clients in all aspects of tax compliance and planning as it relates to estates and trusts. This position is highly visibility to Partners and Clients. The firm offers very competitive compensation and unlimited advancement potential. You will be responsible for: Reviewing individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns; Prepares by tax staff and/or seniors Researching/drafting memorandum on complex tax matters Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities Handling and resolving tax controversies Overseeing complete tax research projects for a variety of clients Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams Conducting discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA license, JD or Master's of Science in Taxation 7+ years of recent experience working in the tax department of public accounting, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff Excellent analytical and technical tax skills Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client's management The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave. Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
