    The Director, New Products & Business Development - Hematologywill lead cross-functional US Integrated Strategy Teams and Launch Readiness to accelerate Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines' leadership in Hematology. The position is part of the US Hematology commercial organization.

    The Director will focus initially on Launch Readiness for Bleximenib, an investigational, oral menin inhibitor being developed to treat acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The role currently reports to the US President of Hematology and will transition to reporting into the open Sr. Director US Hematology Therapeutic Area Lead (TAL).

    Key Responsibilities:

    New Product Strategy & Launch Readiness:

    • Lead US Integrated Strategy Team (IST) to provide input into global compound strategy and Launch Readiness Team (LRT) as a core team member.

    • Lead US strategic planning including positioning, value proposition, Go-To-Market strategy, and inform US label planning, competitive vision, TPP, and value proposition for products going through the investment governance process.

    • Develop early market-shaping strategies including unbranded market development strategy, evidence generation, and KOL engagement.

    • Own governance (Launch Challenge Sessions & Launch Readiness Reviews) for Launch Readiness Teams leveraging the Launch Excellence guidance document, tools & resources.

    • Advise launch readiness team members on Launch Excellence Framework resources and providing feedback to shape continuous improvement of the Launch Excellence framework.

    • Lead US strategic planning, including positioning, value proposition, and informing US label planning.

    • Represent the US on the Global Commercial Team (GCT) to provide input to the Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO).

    • Partner with GCSO on pipeline assets to ensure commercial insight drives clinical development plans

    • Collaborate with US NPBD Analytics to develop customer-insight-based forecasts and valuations to inform stage-gate decisions.

    • Lead early launch planning to shape thinking and ensure project deliverables are current and relevant; identifies gaps, risks, and potential impact to timelines.

    Business Development:

    • Lead US input to select BD opportunities, including evaluation of competitive landscape, opportunity and required product attributes.

    Qualifications / Requirements:

    Education:

    • BA/BS required; MBA preferred.

    Experience and Skills:

    Required:

    • Minimum of 10 years of relevant business experience required.

    • Pharmaceutical marketing and launch experience required.

    • Ability to develop strategy and build business cases for new opportunities, including market overview, analytics, forecast development, and commercial resourcing required.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills required

    • Strong decision-making skills

    • Ability to influence and impact cross-functionally through strong leadership and collaboration

    Preferred:

    • Experience in Hematology / Oncology

    • Experience partnering with R&D, medical affairs, global marketing, market access, patient advocacy, and supply chain preferred

    This position will be located in Horsham, PA and may involve up to 15% travel.
