Sterling Engineering is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a talented team of engineers developing advanced electrical and electronic security systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer looking to transition into management or an experienced Engineering Manager seeking greater technical ownership and strategic influence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers and technical professionals
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Serve as the senior technical authority for complex electrical and low-voltage system designs
  • Lead the design and review of electrical schematics, system architectures, and technical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee multiple engineering projects from concept through installation and commissioning
  • Partner with project management and operations teams to develop schedules, resource plans, and project milestones
  • Provide technical leadership during fabrication, installation, startup, testing, and field support activities
  • Lead design reviews, value engineering initiatives, and root cause investigations
  • Contribute to RFP/RFQ responses, engineering estimates, staffing plans, and technical documentation
Qualifications
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Must have 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience
  • Previous engineering management experience preferred, but strong technical leaders ready to step into management are encouraged to apply
  • Must have experience designing low-voltage electrical, security, surveillance, access control, or integrated electronic systems
  • Must have experience managing engineering projects within regulated or critical infrastructure environments
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IEC, and related industry standards
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain or maintain a Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Department of Energy, or other critical infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of nuclear facility security requirements and regulatory compliance
