Professional Surveyor - Canton, OH - JOB 26-00345
Salary Range:
$50,000 - $120,000 Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits
A leading Engineering Firm in Canton, Ohio, looking for a licensed Professional Surveyor (PS) Engineering and Geomatics Lead. This is not just a role for a technician; it is a leadership position for a professional ready to helm a Geomatics department, influence project direction, and drive the firm's regional growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Departmental Leadership: Direct all aspects of the surveying and geomatics department, providing high-level oversight for multiple field crews and technical support staff.
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Manage diverse survey projects for both public and private sectors, ensuring technical precision and deadline adherence.
  • Strategic Business Development: Identify and capture new business opportunities while nurturing long-term relationships with existing clients.
  • Mentorship & Growth: Supervise and mentor junior staff, cultivating a culture of professional development and technical excellence.
  • Executive Collaboration: Partner with firm leadership to ensure departmental sustainability and contribute to long-term organizational goals.
 
Requirements:
  • Licensure: Active and maintained Professional Surveyor (PS) license in the State of Ohio (Required).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership or senior-level surveying capacity.
  • Leadership Skillset: Proven ability to manage personnel, delegate effectively, and mentor emerging talent.
  • Efficiency: High productivity in both independent and collaborative settings.
  • Communication: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to navigate complex project scopes.
