    About INNIO Group:
INNIO Group is a global distributed energy solutions provider that delivers reliable, flexible, transient, decentralized, modular and efficient power. With a track record of innovation, INNIO designs, manufactures and services highperformance power systems under its Jenbacher and Waukesha brands. The company delivers power for applications including data centers, microgrids, grid stabilization, industrial energy and gas compression.
INNIO operates a global installed base across approximately 100 countries as of December 31, 2025, supported by a resilient, highmargin services business that delivers longterm, recurring revenues across the full equipment lifecycle. As electricity demand accelerates-driven by AI, electrification and grid constraints-INNIO enables scalable, behindthemeter power generation with high efficiency, fast start capability, strong transient performance and fuel flexibility, including hydrogenready solutions. INNIO employs over 5,000 people worldwide and is committed to moving energy forward.
    Position Overview:
The Business Intelligence Expert will serve as a highly connected, externally focused market intelligence professional to serve as the organization's "eyes and ears" across the U.S. and global data center ecosystem. This role is not a traditional desk-based business intelligence position; rather, it is a front-facing, relationship-driven role focused on gathering market insights directly from industry stakeholders, conferences, and emerging technology ecosystems.
This role requires strong knowledge of the AI data center industry and the ability to proactively identify trends, partnerships, risks, and opportunities impacting data center power infrastructure. This individual will translate complex developments across AI, infrastructure, and energy into actionable insights that inform INNIO's strategic direction. Think of this role as a blend of global impact and frequent flyer miles, that includes a high degree of travel (domestic and international) and the chance to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Europe and the U.S.
    Essential Responsibilities:
    Technology & Market Trends
    • Stay continuously at the forefront of developments in AI data center infrastructure technologies, including silicon, racks, cooling systems, and electrical architecture, as well as broader AI market evolution (e.g., agentic AI, physical AI, quantum trends)
    • Translate complex technical and market developments into clear, actionable insights that articulate the "so-what" for INNIO's strategy and positioning
Market Size, Growth & Demand Drivers
    • Provide informed input into forecasting data center power demand across the U.S. and global markets, incorporating evolving hyperscaler strategies and infrastructure requirements
    • Analyze grid capacity, interconnection constraints, and the resulting demand for behind-the-meter and distributed energy solutions
    • Track hyperscaler CAPEX investments and assess how trends such as increasing rack density and power efficiency influence INNIO's addressable market and growth opportunities
    Competitive Landscape
    • Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape across power generation technologies, including gas engines, turbines, fuel cells, and battery energy storage systems (BESS)
    • Monitor competitor strategies, product positioning, and customer perception, while identifying emerging technologies, new entrants, and potential partners that may shape the market
    Customer Insights & Buying Behavior
    • Develop a deep understanding of hyperscalers, co-location providers, and data center operators, including what they value most in power solutions today and in the future
    • Stay closely connected to both existing customers and strategic non-customers to gather real-world insights on decision drivers, evolving needs, and unmet opportunities
    Regulations & Policies
    • Track and anticipate global regulatory and policy developments, including emissions standards, permitting processes, grid reliability requirements, and financial incentives
    • Assess the potential impact of regulatory changes on INNIO's business and proactively recommend actions or strategic considerations
    Strategic Pricing Insights
    • Analyze and quantify customer value and willingness-to-pay across different segments and use case
    • Identify key drivers influencing pricing dynamics and how they may evolve over time
    • Translate insights into strategic recommendations to inform pricing approaches and overall commercial strategy for INNIO
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
    • Proven experience in the AI data center industry
    • Experience in power generation, energy infrastructure, or distributed energy solutions is a plus
    • Strong networking and relationship-building experience, with a proactive, outgoing approach and a natural ability to engage others
    • Exposure to business intelligence, market research, or strategic analysis environments
    • Experience working in global, matrixed organizations
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams), with emphasis on presentation development
    • Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., German) are a plus
    • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally without restriction
    • Valid driver's license and valid passport
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong knowledge of the AI data center market from a power generation perspective
    • Strong networking and relationship-building skills with a proactive, outgoing approach
    • Ability to quickly identify and articulate key trends shaping the data center and AI landscape
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical and market information into clear insights
    • Curiosity and continuous learning mindset, particularly related to AI and emerging technologies
    • Ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and manage a high level of external engagement
    • Ability to travel frequently, including international travel and extended travel periods
    • Ability to attend industry events, conferences, and meetings that may involve walking, standing, and networking for extended periods
    • Ability to work across time zones, including occasional early morning or evening meetings to support global collaboration
    Employment Type: Experienced
