Position Overview

Harmonic Motion PT, located in the heart of Port Elizabeth, New Jersey, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. This full-time position focuses on providing exceptional therapy services specifically tailored to our geriatric clientele. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving the lives of older adults through personalized care and innovative therapy techniques.

Work Environment

The clinic is an onsite rehabilitation facility that promotes a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. Our workspace encourages open communication among team members, facilitating a seamless integration of services that truly benefits our patients. Operating Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, we offer a structured schedule that allows therapists the flexibility to manage their patient assignments and therapy approaches effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, developing personalized treatment plans that specifically address their needs and rehabilitation goals.
  • Employ a variety of therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic exercises and manual therapy, to improve patient outcomes and overall well-being.
  • Regularly monitor patient progress by documenting outcomes and adapting treatment plans to ensure maximum effectiveness in achieving rehabilitation goals.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to deliver a well-rounded approach to patient care.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and strategies for injury prevention.
  • Implement fall prevention programs tailored to the assisted living community to mitigate risks and enhance safety for all residents.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in physical therapy by participating in continuing education, allowing for the application of evidence-based practices in patient care.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality while demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on the geriatric population, offering specialized therapy services that cater to their unique needs. Patients often present with conditions related to aging, including arthritis, post-operative rehabilitation, balance issues, and other mobility challenges. Our goal is to empower elderly patients to maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life through tailored therapies.

Qualifications
  • A graduate of an accredited college or university, possessing at least a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
  • An active state licensure in New Jersey as a Physical Therapist is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills that enable effective interaction with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and documentation systems for streamlined patient care and record-keeping.
  • A commitment to applying evidence-based practices and continuous improvement in therapeutic techniques.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000. In addition to competitive pay, we offer comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
