Job description

Overview
Seeking a Structural Design Engineer to support the design of steel racking systems used in industrial and warehouse environments. This role focuses on developing safe, accurate, and cost-effective structural solutions while working closely with cross-functional teams to execute projects from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design steel racking systems including Tuberacks, Drive-In, Cantilever, Pushback, and Pallet Flow
  • Develop structural designs that meet project requirements, codes, and safety standards
  • Perform structural analysis using industry software for frames, beams, bracing, mezzanines, and platforms
  • Review and check structural drawings for accuracy and completeness
  • Partner with Project Managers and Design teams to align on project scope and timelines
  • Communicate engineering requirements clearly across teams
  • Contribute to design improvements and support ongoing engineering development
  • Follow and support all safety policies, procedures, and standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam prior to hire
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Experience

  • Focus or coursework in structural engineering
  • Basic understanding of building construction methods
  • Familiarity with current building codes and industry standards
  • Exposure to steel racking or rack-supported structures
