Job description

Job Title: Structural Design Engineer

Location: Pelzer, SC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer with 4+ years of experience in structural or mechanical engineering to design and develop structural systems for data centers, power modules, telecom, and industrial facilities. The role involves structural analysis, foundation design, preparation of construction drawings, ensuring compliance with building codes, and coordinating with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design structural systems for modular data centers, power modules, and telecom facilities.
  • Prepare structural calculations, engineering reports, and construction drawings.
  • Design steel structures, foundations, lifting and anchoring systems, flashings, and gutters.
  • Ensure designs comply with local, national, and international building codes, including seismic and thermal requirements.
  • Coordinate with civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering teams.
  • Review structural drawings, material specifications, and fabrication documents.
  • Perform static and dynamic structural load calculations.
  • Develop welding, inspection, NDE, surface preparation, and structural testing procedures.
  • Support fabrication, quality inspections, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and site acceptance testing (SAT).
  • Provide technical support during construction and resolve structural issues.
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, contractors, and fabrication teams throughout the project lifecycle.
