Job description

Job Title - Service NOW Platform manager
Location : Columbus OH
Duration : 12 Months
Rate : DOE

This role involves collaborating with various departments to identify and address business process improvement opportunities.

Role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and understanding of business processes.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Planning:
    1. Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for the ServiceNow platform aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
    2. Identify opportunities for process automation, optimization, and improvement using ServiceNow.
  2. Platform Implementation:
    1. Lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow modules, workflows, and applications to meet business requirements.
    2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements.
  3. Configuration and Customization:
    1. Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform to address specific business needs.
    2. Manage the development and maintenance of custom applications, scripts, and integrations.
  4. Platform Governance:
    1. Define and enforce platform governance policies, including access controls, data security, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ITIL).
    2. Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the platform.
  5. Platform Maintenance and Performance:
    1. Monitor platform performance and availability, proactively addressing issues to minimize downtime.
    2. Apply patches and updates as needed to maintain platform security and functionality.
  6. User Training and Support:
    1. Provide training and support to end-users and administrators to maximize platform adoption and proficiency.
    2. Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  7. Vendor Management:
    1. Manage relationships with ServiceNow vendors, including software licensing, contracts, and support agreements.
  8. Reporting and Analytics:
    1. Create and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluate platform effectiveness.
    2. Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for improvements.
  9. Documentation:
    1. Maintain comprehensive documentation of platform configurations, processes, and workflows.
    2. Keep records of changes, upgrades, and enhancements.
  10. Continuous Improvement:
    1. Stay up-to-date with ServiceNow best practices, new features, and industry trends.
    2. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance and expand the use of ServiceNow within the organization.
Qualifications
  1. ServiceNow certification(s) such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in ServiceNow administration, development, and configuration.
  3. Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL processes.
