Froedtert Health is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Title:  Respiratory Therapist

Location:  Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Contract: 13 weeks

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts per week. 0600-1830. Every other weekend rotation.

Requirements:  2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience

-Current State of Wisconsin License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
-Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
-BLS
-ACLS
-NRP -  (CHD only – Froedtert West Bend Hospital or Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital)

Our health network operates eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma Center at Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee, an internationally recognized training and research center engaged in thousands of clinical trials and studies. The Froedtert & MCW health network, which includes five hospitals, more than 1,700 physicians and nearly 40 health centers and clinics, draws patients from throughout the Midwest and the nation.
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Froedtert Health System, Wisconsin
Job Summary:
A Respiratory Care Practitioner performs designated respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostic procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include therapeutic treatment, diagnostic testing, ventilatory support, bronchopulmonary clearance, patient education, and maintenance of airways. These procedures are performed in both critical and non-critical care areas for patients of all ages. The practitioner is expected to uphold the mission, vision, and values of Froedtert Health System.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in general and critical care.
- Associate Degree from a CoARC accredited Respiratory Care program.
- Current State of Wisconsin License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 12 months of hire.
- BLS certification.
- NRP certification (required for Froedtert West Bend Hospital or Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a hospital setting providing respiratory care.
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care.
- ACLS certification.
- Membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and Wisconsin Society for Respiratory Care (WSRC).
Additional Information:
- Other duties as assigned.
