1st shift exempt position

Job Summary:
Under general administrative and service line medical direction, the Director of Transplant oversees key clinical aspects of the day-to-day operations of the designated transplant programs of Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital (FMLH) (heart/VAD, lung, kidney, pancreas and liver) This role also establishes relationships within and across the FMLH, the Medical College of Wisconsin, and Organ Procurement Organization(s) to lead a collaborative center of excellence for solid organ transplantation. Where appropriate, partners with administrative and clinical leadership at Children's Wisconsin to support the needs of their programs. The role enhances existing transplant programs to achieve both the individual, and mutually-defined goals of the FMLH and transplant center of excellence at large; integrates compliance requirements set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the national Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) with growth and operational goals while maintaining high standards of service delivery. In collaboration with clinical and administrative leaders, the Director identifies opportunities for quality improvement and implements innovative processes or solutions across the care continuum to achieve desired outcomes in a complex interdisciplinary environment. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Five years of management experience in a complex academic medical center environment with demonstrated ability in administration, QA/PI (quality assurance/process improvement) program development and implementation, regulatory oversight and data management including three years in the field of transplantation is required.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Bachelors degree in a clinical or biological sciences field is required. Masters degree (MHA, MSN, or MBA) is preferred.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Detailed knowledge of CMS Conditions of Participation and OPTN policies and bylaws governing transplantation and organ allocation is required. Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication. Must be familiar with issues and operations of a multidisciplinary transplant center regarding internal and external (including governmental) functions.
