Occupational Health Nurse III - 3rd Shift
EPITEC
Athens, GA (On-Site, Full-Time)
Pay: $55/hr (W2 only)
Duration: 12-month contract-option to go internal
EPITEC is hiring an Occupational Health Nurse III to support Caterpillar's Athens BCP Plant. This role is responsible for daily clinic administration and the delivery of comprehensive occupational health nursing services in a high?volume, production?driven environment. The position offers a high level of autonomy and accountability, supporting employee health, safety, and productivity during third?shift operations.
Position Contributions / Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care for employee illness and injury
  • Function autonomously while responding to clinical and administrative demands
  • Respond to and help lead on?site medical emergency response
  • Act as a liaison with contracted occupational health providers
  • Support disability case management activities
  • Conduct DOT and non?DOT drug and alcohol testing
  • Perform OSHA?mandated and other medical surveillance exams
  • Support HR and facility leadership with health, safety, and wellness initiatives
  • Maintain clinic documentation, metrics, and records via paper files and systems such as PeopleSoft
  • Serve as liaison between local facility and Corporate Medical Department
  • Participate in special projects and wellness programming
  • Support investigations related to work?related injuries and regulatory compliance
Typical Task Breakdown
  • Onsite injury management and triage
  • Emergency response and clinical assessments
  • Drug/BAT testing and surveillance exams
  • Clinical documentation and administration
  • Collaboration with HR, safety, and corporate medical teams
Team & Work Environment
  • High interaction with employees, HR, and facility leadership
  • Regular coordination with Corporate Medical and external providers
  • Office?based clinic with time on the production floor
  • On?site only (no remote work)
  • Third Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Required Education & Experience
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Associate degree preferred
  • 1-5 years of occupational health, acute care, or related nursing experience
  • Internships accepted as qualifying experience
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
