Now Hiring for College Board
College Board is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Generalist to support its Technology Strategic Sourcing team during an exciting procurement transformation initiative. This is an excellent opportunity for a sourcing professional with experience in technology procurement who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of strategic sourcing experience within the technology category and will help manage sourcing initiatives, supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and procurement activities for technology-related spend.
What You'll Do
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize spend, reduce risk, and maximize value.
  • Support procurement activities for technology-related categories including SaaS, cybersecurity, enterprise software, cloud services, hardware, and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct market research and supplier evaluations.
  • Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and cost savings.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.

Supplier & Contract Management
  • Support supplier selection and relationship management.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, licensing agreements, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with Legal, Information Security, and Governance teams to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve escalations as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on sourcing and procurement matters.
  • Work closely with Finance, Legal, Technology, and business leaders.
  • Promote contract compliance and procurement best practices.

Data & Process Excellence
  • Analyze spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses and sourcing recommendations.
  • Leverage procurement systems and enterprise tools to deliver data-driven insights.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management.
  • Technology category sourcing experience.
  • Experience with contract negotiations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, supplier management systems, and contract lifecycle management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • CPSM, PMP, Lean/Six Sigma, or ISM certification.
  • Experience supporting software, cloud, cybersecurity, or enterprise technology sourcing initiatives.
