    Legal Assistance Developer
    Epitec is seeking a Legal Assistance Developer to support a state-level aging services program focused on protecting and advancing the legal rights of older adults. This role provides leadership in legal services coordination, policy implementation, program oversight, and public outreach while promoting equitable access to legal assistance for seniors.
    The ideal candidate will have experience in elder law, aging policy, legal services, public administration, or related fields and will be passionate about improving access to justice for older adults.
    Pay Rate
    Compensation: $25/hr
    Schedule & Work Arrangement
    • Part-Time: 30 hours per week
    • Work Model: Fully Onsite, W2 Contract
    • Location: Providence, Rhode Island
    Key Responsibilities
    • Develop strategies to strengthen access to justice and legal services for older adults.
    • Advise leadership on emerging elder law issues, legal trends, and policy initiatives.
    • Coordinate statewide legal assistance programs and promote equitable access to services.
    • Build partnerships with legal service providers, advocacy organizations, courts, government agencies, and community-based organizations.
    • Provide technical assistance, consultation, and training for legal services providers and aging network partners.
    • Support educational initiatives focused on elder rights, consumer protection, abuse prevention, advance planning, and alternatives to guardianship.
    • Monitor legal service capacity, identify service gaps, and recommend program improvements.
    • Analyze program data and trends to support strategic decision-making and service enhancements.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to expand resources that help older adults maintain independence and self-determination.
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Human Services, Social Services, Public Administration, or a related field.
    • 5 or more years of progressively responsible experience in:
      • Elder law
      • Legal services
      • Aging policy
      • Public administration
      • Or a related field
    • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other technology tools.
    • Experience analyzing data and identifying program trends and opportunities.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience working with aging networks, legal aid organizations, or public sector agencies serving older adults.
    • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing legal and aging-related programs.
    • Demonstrated leadership in outreach, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Experience with program administration, public policy, and strategic planning.
