Audit and assurance services are provided by Elliott Davis, LLC (doing business in NC and D.C. as Elliott Davis, PLLC), a licensed CPA firm.**About the Role**Elliott Davis is seeking an experienced, data-driven leader to join the Data & Analytics team within Strategy & Operations as a Director. This role combines client delivery, practice development, and team leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will help clients define data strategies, automate business processes, build scalable analytics solutions, and deliver actionable insights that improve business performance.The Director will lead client engagements, manage project scope and budgets, collaborate with executive and operational stakeholders, and oversee delivery of data and analytics solutions from strategy through deployment. The ideal candidate can bridge finance, accounting, technology, and business operations to create measurable client value and drive transformation initiatives.In addition to client service responsibilities, this leader will contribute to business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, developing proposals, cultivating client relationships, and expanding Elliott Davis's Data & Analytics offerings.**What Success Looks Like*** Build trusted advisor relationships with client executives and functional leaders* Lead multiple complex analytics, automation, and transformation engagements simultaneously* Develop scalable and repeatable solutions that create measurable business value for clients* Mentor and develop team members while helping expand the Data & Analytics practice* Contribute to growth through proposal development, relationship expansion, and cross-functional collaboration**Key Responsibilities*** Lead client engagements by translating complex data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and business outcomes* Design, oversee, and execute analytics initiatives involving structured and unstructured data using modern analytical techniques.* Manage projects from requirements gathering through implementation while maintaining scope, budget, timelines, and stakeholder communication* Lead or support deployment of software, automation, and analytics solutions within enterprise environments and modern cloud platforms* Partner with stakeholders across finance, accounting, FP&A, operations, and technology functions to deliver cross-functional solutions* Advise clients on data governance, data quality, security considerations, and sustainable operating models that encourage enterprise adoption* Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled analytics and automation capabilities, that can improve client outcomes* Mentor and develop team members while promoting continuous learning and adoption of emerging technologies* Support recruiting, talent development, and team-building initiatives* Drive business development through relationship building, opportunity identification, and proposal development* Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences**Leadership & Consulting Competencies*** Executive communication and stakeholder management* Client relationship development and trusted advisor mindset* Solution architecture and problem solving* Project and program leadership* Change management and user adoption* Business process transformation* Team development and mentoring**Technical Competencies*** Data architecture and data modeling* Data analytics, visualization, and reporting* Workflow automation and process optimization* Python, SQL, and related programming languages* Data engineering concepts and practices* Finance and/or accounting knowledge* Enterprise software and analytics deployment* Modern cloud and data platforms (Azure, Databricks, AWS, Snowflake, or similar technologies)* Strong Excel proficiency**Qualifications & Experience*** Bachelor's degree required; quantitative disciplines such as Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields preferred* Experience in analytics, consulting, audit, technology implementation, or related client-service environments* Strong client-facing communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills* Experience in driving growth through both new and expanding existing relationships* Experience leading teams and managing complex engagements.* Demonstrated ability to independently research, solve problems, and develop practical solutions* Experience deploying and scaling analytics, automation, or data solutions within enterprise environments* Experience supporting middle-market organizations, private equity-backed companies, or other complex operating environments preferred**Preferred Technical Expertise*** ETL and automation tools (Alteryx, Power Query, or similar platforms)* Business intelligence and visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent)* Programming and analytics languages (Python preferred; R acceptable)* Data querying and database technologies (SQL and relational databases)* Cloud and modern data platforms (Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, or equivalent)* Travel expectations and work location requirements should be added based on firm policy and role expectations#LI-EG1#LI-HYBRID## ## **WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN US**We believe that when our employees are able to thrive in all facets of life, their work and impact are that much greater.
