Job Description Summary:ย ย
QA/QC Inspector observesย and documents activities related to all aspects of transmission line including but not limited to foundations, tower steel construction, and conductor stringing and sagging activities.ย
Hourly Rate: $50-55 per hour, plus Per Diem, Company vehicle and Gas Cardย
ย
ResponsibilitiesFoundation:
- Inspect excavation of piersย
- Verify soils match boring logsย
- Verify that depth and diameter are per designย
- Verify rebar cages and anchor bolts meet project specificationsย
- Inspect placement of concreteย
- Verify correct stub angleย
- Record all locations of concrete being placedย
- Verify concrete tickets for air content, slump, and temperature in required test loadsย
- Verify as-builds on the foundations before steel assembly beginsย
- Fill out all forms and daily reports as requiredย
Tower:ย
- Verify assembly and erection of lattice and tubular steel polesย
- Verify bolt torque and jacking operationsย
- Verify proper hardware and signage
Conductor:ย
- Document wire installationย
- Verify dead-end assemblies are properly assembledย
- Verify proper compression sleeve procedures are followedย
- Verify correct saggingย
- Verify and document clippingย
- Verify and document proper number and location of hardware installedย
- Document times for pulling in wire, sagging and any work task of the pull that may have time constraintsย
Skills & Abilities:ย
- Strong organizational and document management skillsย
- Ability to multitask and maintain effectiveness with multiple prioritiesย
- Professional demeanor; remain calm and emotionally controlled under pressureย
- Detailed oriented and high attention to accuracyย
- Solid mathematical skillsย
- Comfortable with working outdoors in all types of weather conditionsย

- Procore experience a plus
Education and/ or Work Experience:ย
- High school diploma or equivalentย
- Some college business courses (helpful but not required)ย
- Knowledge of industry codes such as IEEE, ACI, ASTM, AWS preferredย
- Commercial construction / Inspection experience
- 5 years experience within Transmission line construction within QA/QC or related field
