As a Manager, you will be a critical leader on our team delivering strategy and business design projects with our Energy & Resources clients. You will assume day-to-day leadership roles in the delivery of projects including overseeing qualitative and quantitative analyses, preparing client deliverables, managing client relationships, and leading project team members. 
In addition to project delivery, Managers are expected to contribute to the firm’s growth and development by:
 
•    Leading project scoping, planning, and facilitating buy-in of proposed solutions from client executives
•    Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, participating in business development activities, and being an active member of pursuit teams leading proposal development
•    Applying industry knowledge and expertise to develop Deloitte “point of view” content and supporting industry events sponsored by the firm

Energy, Resources & Industrials (ER&I) is at the heart of global forces taking place – from economic growth, to national security, to AI and digitalization, to sustainability and beyond. With this opportunity, you will join Monitor Deloitte’s industry practice that works with Canadian and multi-national companies across energy, mining, power and industrials sectors to help navigate the evolving environment, identify and develop strategic choices, and configure organizations for long-term success. As part of our ER&I practice, you will collaborate with industry leaders and experts across Deloitte’s global network and help advance our industry community of practice. 

As a Manager, you must have: 
 
•    A minimum 5 years of cumulative experience in Energy, Resources & Industrials (such as Power & Utilities, Renewables, Mining extraction and Metals Transformation, Aerospace, Construction), or Strategy Consulting
•    Strong academic record, Bachelor’s degree is a requirement and Master’s degree in Business Administration, Strategy, or related field is beneficial
•    Experience in strategy, innovation, data, and business transformation
•    Experience in business development and delivering the full cycle of project management accountabilities
•    Strong understanding of the Canadian Energy, Resources & Industrials industries
•    Strong understanding of what strategy is: “a set of choices made with intent to gain competitive advantage”
•    Ability to receive direction from senior leaders, and disseminate and manage tasks and activities of junior team members
•    Ability to work in a collaborative team environment 
•    Ability to analyze complex business problems and synthesize that analysis into coherent narratives
•    Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills (e.g., financial analysis, business-casing, ability to work with large/complex data sets)
•    Excellent communication and presentation abilities
•    Proficiency working with the Microsoft suite (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel)
•    Ability to travel within Canada and internationally on client assignments

The salary range for this position is $101,000 - $169,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
