Job Overview:
Pay Range $43hr - $45hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 6+ years related technical experience.
- Detailed knowledge of auxiliary mechanical systems of a gas turbine, such as air intake, acoustic enclosure, ventilation, fire protection.
- Capability to handle cross-functional and cross-product line initiatives, domestically and internationally.
- Ability to work as part of a larger global engineering team in a collaborative manner.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form and to interface within a wide range of organizations both internally and externally.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of technical specifications, verification of supplier bids with clarifications, technical supplier negotiations including risk assessment and commercial selection support for Air Intake system, Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers, Noise Enclosures, and Fire Protection system.
- Reviewing internal and external designs and documentation.
- Support procurement department regarding technical issues.
- Coordination with Lead Engineer, Procurement, Suppliers, other Engineering departments, and Project Management.
- Ensuring alignment of the supplier’s solution with requirements specification, customer needs, and interface partners.
- Attend manufacturing shop inspections, perform field/site support during installation, commissioning and warranty.
- Proposal support for Bid Management team.
