Job description
We are looking for an Engineering (Technical) Intern for our Charlotte, NC site!
The Engineering Intern will be working with closely with the Business Unit Manager to optimize the shot peening process, including design and execution.
Location: Charlotte, NC
Hourly Rate: $18-$21/hour

Your Challenge
- Operate and maintain a 3D Printer.
- Design and fabricate custom tooling using conventional methods and 3D printing.
- Identify opportunities for masking/general improvements.
- Identify opportunities for masking/general improvements
- Create SolidWorks models, assemblies and drawings
- Support machine improvements, troubleshooting, & repairs
- Research and procure materials from vendors
- Potentially travel to facilities for on-site work
What You Bring
- Mechanical Engineering student of sophomore standing or higher with at least a 3.0 GPA in major
- CAD Modeling Experience (ideally SolidWorks)
- 3D Printing Experience (experience with Cura software)
- Manual lathe & vertical Mill experience a plus
- Design & Build Experience (e.g. Robot team, Catapult Team, HPVC Team, or personal projects)
